Where is earthlink

Currently I've been on hold for mins while someone cancels my service. We're sorry you experienced slower internet speeds than expected. If you'd like, our tech support team can troubleshoot and look into any possible causes for the slower speed. You can reach them at or earthlink. Otherwise, we're very sorry to see you go. If you need anything further, just let us know. Service is good much of the time, but ATT equipment has faltered and the service is not very good.

It's slow, unreliable and not as cheap as it should be for the service you receive. It freezes often and I often get incomplete and slow loading web pages. It is just adequate. We want to see if there's something we can do to improve the internet speed you're experiencing.

Earthlink will block email accounts without notice to the customer depending on mysterious reasons. When you write to them or call them asking why it go through multiple customer service teams and then they will tell you any of these:. You call again and they will say they blocked your email accounts because it seems you are in a different area than you normally are in??!!

Their system can't handle your email accounts if you block, filter, certain senders like spam. Their limit of data storage is so small that you are constantly deleting and clearing important emails. BUT you don't know that you are out of storage because the account doesn't show you are. Customer service is horrible.

Besides the fact they read from a script, you can barely understand what they are saying, their attitude is if their script doesn't allow it, they just stonewall you OR they will hang up on you and you have to start the process all over again.

We sent you a direct message with the contact info for our tier 3 support team — they can further assist in troubleshooting the issue. The internet connection always fails. Netflix and Amazon are typically always slow when loading. The representatives are always answering the phone when they are not in the most appropriate setting ie: at parties or gatherings with loud music and or people in the background.

Every time I call, I can count on always being on hold for no less than 20 minutes. If I knew better, I would have gone thru my cable provider instead of wasting my time on EarthLink. I am now on hold for the repetitive reason specified above, and it's been 29 minutes and counting We strive to assist each customer in a timely manner, but we fell short in this case and we apologize. Did you know that you can reach our support team on live chat too? If you'd like to try it out, just visit earthlink.

Mind you I work from home. My son schools from home I flipped out telling them that I made it clear when I signed with earthlink that I need my services to work - and told them the same thing. Her response, "I am sorry sir. We apologize for the issues you've experienced with your service, Isaias. One of the oldest names in home internet is still around, but it's not the same as it was. Here's what to know before signing up. There was a time when EarthLink ruled the internet landscape, back when getting online came with a screechy sound and it tied up your phone line. Today, EarthLink has progressed from its dial-up days but is now more of an internet supplier than a provider.

As a result, EarthLink is one of the most widely available ISPs, essentially combining the availability of multiple provider networks. California, New York and Texas have the greatest EarthLink availability, but service can be found in parts of 18 other states as well.

Piggybacking on other providers allows EarthLink to boast high availability, but that approach also leads to higher pricing. Shop around, and you'll find that EarthLink's internet costs are higher than most ISPs, but give the company credit for transparent pricing and favorable service terms, such as unlimited data and a commitment not to throttle anyone's connection.

EarthLink typically presents customers with three plan options, though those in DSL markets may only have one or two choices depending on what speeds are available. EarthLink doesn't do introductory pricing, which means you're paying the standard rate right from the get-go. High pricing plus a contract is generally not ideal, but there is light at the end of that month tunnel.

Aside from avoiding the early termination fee, your reward for 12 months of continued service is That's not to say the price won't ever go up, but you won't have to worry about a significant jump after that first year as you would with a lot of other ISPs.

If you're with EarthLink for a few years, the high-but-stable pricing could turn out to be the better deal. Take for example Cox, which has relatively low introductory pricing but a steep increase after 12 months with most plans. EarthLink won't always work out to be the better long-run deal, however.

Be sure to take a close look at the introductory and standard pricing of other providers -- along with how long you anticipate having service, if possible -- to determine if it's worth paying EarthLink's standard rate from Day One.

The plans listed above reflect the fastest max speeds available for the price, but some areas -- specifically those in DSL markets -- will see lower speeds for the same price. Varying speeds at the same price point is a common approach among DSL providers -- and, again, those are the same providers providing Earthlink with the means to sell internet these days -- so I can't knock the company too much for it.

Furthermore and to EarthLink's credit, many customers will have two or three plan options whereas most DSL providers only offer one.

Those in areas serviceable for EarthLink's fiber plans will find more consistent speeds and plan pricing as the 50, and 1, plans are available in the majority of EarthLink fiber service areas. Frontier FiberOptic also has a 50Mbps plan, but the next speed tier jumps to Mbps compared to EarthLink's modest increase to just Mbps.
