I've read many reviews and I am leaning towards to Captivate. But iphone apps are better by far hands down. I'm a techy guy so android is perfect for me I've tried it out already.
Aesthetics I like the aesthetics on the iphone a bit more high quality bezel and buttons but what saved the captivate is the back covering. It's has a slider lock style and brushed metal backing which I love.
Buttons on the side of the captivate aren't as high quality looking compared to the 4 which let me down. Also, I like physical buttons on the 4 as opposed to the capacitive buttons on the captivate. Display Iphone has a fairly crisper display higher resolution than the captivate.
Camera The 4 has a front facing camera so chatting is awesome. The camera on the 4 gives a better quality pic. So camera is a win for the 4. Talk Time I talk quite a bit so with better battery life on the captivate makes it very important. Even the iphone has some good qualities, I think samsung's is a bit better suited to my needs.
I have a iphone 3G and know a bit on how the iOS works. Like from HTC or the vibrant? Edit: I forgot to note that captivate has a SD Card slot while the 4 doesn't. I'm having the same problem too, I too want to get the Captivate. The iPhone 4 have a better resell value though, so Actually does anyone know there will be future modding for samsung phones? Other option is to get Iphone, sell it, and get a Bell Vibrant.

Trying to decided between Vibrant and Captivate From what I gather, Vibrant has a physical button, however I like the look and feel of the captivate. I plan on rooting the phone once I get it. What is RFD's opinion? Also my contract with rogers expires in a month and half, will they add data without adding any years to the contract?
While the captivate can last for hours on standby and has just under 6 hours of talk time, the Vibrant can last for up to hours on standby and has 6. All in all, both phones are pretty great. The 1Ghz CPU provides ample power while 16GB of internal memory ensures that you have enough storage space; you can also add a memory card if you find it lacking. Choosing between the two phones has less to do with the actual phones themselves.
